Bonnie Ferri is the vice provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development at Georgia Tech, and a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). Prior to her work as vice provost, Ferri was the associate chair for Undergraduate Affairs in ECE and the associate chair for Graduate Affairs in ECE. 

She has received many honors and awards including the 2017 IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award and the 2016 Regent’s Award for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Ferri was the co-chair of a Georgia Tech campuswide commission on the future of higher education, and she was an invited speaker at a National Academy of Engineering workshop on education. Ferri has also been active with the IEEE Control Systems Society and served two terms on its Board of Governors. She was the program chair for the 1998 American Control Conference and will be the general chair for that conference in 2022.

Ferri received a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. After earning these degrees, she worked as an engineer for Honeywell for two years before pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Ferri’s research interests include embedded control systems, engineering education, and real-time computing.

Dawn Baunach is the associate vice provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development at Georgia Tech, and a principal academic professional.

Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Baunach served as interim associate dean for Faculty/Student Development and Strategic Initiatives in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences and chair for the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Kennesaw State University. Before her work at Kennesaw, Baunach served as interim chair and director of graduate studies in the Department of Sociology at Georgia State University.

She has received the Teresa M. Joyce Award for Excellence, the presidential diversity award for LGBTQ initiatives, and served as a University Diversity Fellow for the LGBTQ program at Kennesaw. Baunach was elected to chair the Sexualities section of the American Sociological Association (2017-2018) and the Sexual, Behavior, Politics, and Communities division of the Society for the Study of Social Problems (2014-2016 and 2020-2022). She has served as an editorial board member for Sexes and Social Sciences, Open Access sociology journals, and was an Academic Advisory Board Member for the LGTB Public Opinion Project of the Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles’s School of Law.

Baunach received a bachelor's in Sociology from Duke University, and a master's and Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Virginia. 

Her research has examined gender-based labor market inequalities, including wage differentials, labor force participation, occupational segregation and inequality, affirmative action, and sexual harassment.
